Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Room
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our emergency team at North Strand Emergency. As a valued member of our healthcare family, you will play a critical role in providing timely, compassionate care for patients with emergency and life-threatening conditions.
Our emergency department offers a range of services, including treatment for broken bones, heart attacks, strokes, and other life-threatening conditions. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a supportive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting for emergency care.
- Document pertinent nursing notes to reflect changes in condition, transfer, and discharge.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
- Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic.
- Manage care with primary ED attending.
- Demonstrate ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions.
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- Previous emergency, pre-hospital, or critical care Registered Nurse experience is required.
