GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provide overall administrative support and coordination of office operations in the primary care clinic. Assist administration to ensure that the primary care office carries out the overall objectives, mission and goals of the North Sunflower Medical Center.
REPORTS TO: Clinic Director, Sunflower Rural Health Clinic
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in daily operations of the Clinic including reviewing the day sheets and end of day report, acting as a resource for the electronic health record and working on projects assigned by administration.
- Review the daily log from the receptionist and admission team members.
- Assist in training new hires on processes, procedures and EMR.
- Scheduling the reception desk staff and RHC schedulers through Shifthound.
- Maintain all Sunflower Rural Health Clinic provider files contracting information.
- Assists with monthly staff meetings.
- Become familiar with Sunflower Rural Health Clinic regulations and compliance.
- Assist Clinic Management Team with quality improvement programs for the clinic, staff development actives and recognition programs.
- Conduct Patient and Employee surveys annually.
- Performs various secretarial related duties that may include the following:
- Orders office supplies as required, and maintains control over office supplies and equipment.
- Prepares physician correspondence.
- Maintains inventory control over office supplies and equipment.
- Substitutes for admissions clerks, receptionist and switchboard as needed.
- Place all requests for maintenance needs for the clinic with the appropriate person, and keep a written log of all maintenance requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Reconciles daily collection batches
- Runs Pre-reg/Admit reports and create new visit when needed
- Correct any CRC edit errors
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must incorporate customer service skills in dealing with personnel, physicians and clients.
- Must express information in a clear, concise and organized manner.
- Must exhibit excellent communication and conflict management skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The incumbent should have or be working on a degree in Business, or have three to five years of experience in a medical business office setting. Experience working with medical billing systems, maintaining accurate and complete financial records is desired. Experience managing personnel is preferred.
