What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at North Texas Arrhythmia Associates?
We are adding an experienced Medical Assistant to our medical office in Denton, TX.
What will you do?
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient’s chart.
- Assist the medical provider in exam rooms.
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by the medical provider.
- Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is filed is available in the patient's medical record prior to their appointment.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to the patient, medical provider, or pharmacy.
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to the medical providers.
What are we looking for?
- Understanding of medical terminology including commonly prescribed medications.
- Excellent patient service and patient relationship skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record systems. (EMRs).
- Experience in cardiology and EP a plus.
- Bilingual a plus
What are the details?
- This is a full-time position.
- Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Compensation starts at $17.00 per hour and is dependent on experience.
