Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for inventory functions associated with receiving, storing, order processing, shipping, and quality control to ensure the accurate virtual and physical movement of all products through the entire NTFB supply chain.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as it relates to the job
• Strong organizational and counting skills, ability to problem-solve and attention to detail
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Able to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations preferred
• Basic skills of workflow management tools
Experience:
• Six months of related warehouse experience and/or training
• Shipping and/or receiving experience is a plus
• Experience operating an electric pallet jack; reach lift preferred
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare daily cycle counts sheets to perform cycle counts for order processing
• Perform quality control procedures including daily targeted inventory counting and reporting
• Research inconsistencies or irregularities involving inventory, working collaborative with warehouse team
• Assist the warehouse administration team with the inventory tracking for our recall and inspection processes
• Assist in the preparation/creation of a daily replenishment list
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and forklift equipment to load, off-load, and put away products on pallets and into pallet racking
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
MENTAL DEMANDS:
• The person in this position needs to be able to read; communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze certain information and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to successfully operate all gas and electric-powered forklift trucks, as well as manual pallet jacks and other warehouse support equipment
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
• Moderate to loud noise (e.g., medium to heavy traffic in the warehouse with forklifts and pallet jacks)
• This person should have the ability to work in varying internal (hot and cold) temperature levels in the warehouse which includes cooler and freezer areas as low as –10 degrees.
• Work schedule is Monday - Friday 3:30 am – 12:00 pm, with occasional weekend work
