Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baseball Coach to help be a leader and positive role model for our organization in developing both skills and sportsmanship among players. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in playing baseball either collegiately or professionally. If you have more than 5 years as a baseball coach or recently graduated high school and played at least 3 years of High School Baseball, we are open to discussion as well. Candidate must be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. This role requires effective strong communication, leadership, and the ability to engage with athletes of varying skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans that enhance players' skills and teamwork.
- Helping athletes focus on fundamental techniques, game strategies, and physical conditioning.
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Help organize and oversee practices, ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and organization staff.
- Manage behavior during practices and games, applying effective behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with other coaches to promote overall athletic development within the program.
- Help other coaches with equipment travel if needed.
- Assistant Head Coaches during weekend games, scrimmages, and tournaments.
Experience
- Previous experience in baseball coaching or playing baseball at a higher level.
- Background in physical education or health club environments is advantageous.
- Experience working with athletes of various ages and skill levels is essential.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to effectively guide young athletes.
- Additional skills in related areas is essential.
