JOB SUMMARY
This role is for a compassionate, skilled and experienced Licensed Physician, Board-Certified OB-GYN to provide comprehensive healthcare services to our female patients in the NTMC outpatient clinic. This role is employed through a comprehensive employment contract which includes a generous compensation package.
Services will focus on reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. This physician oversees testing, diagnosing conditions, and monitoring women’s health issues offering guidance, support, and medical expertise on a wide range of women’s health matters. May also provide general healthcare services to women.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Monitor and treat expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum
- Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system
- Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
- Care for women during pregnancy and childbirth.
- Perform surgeries, and offer preventive care and family planning guidance
- Collect medical information from patients, family members,
- Educate patients about disease prevention, detection and reproductive health
- Collaborate with other medical and non-medical personnel
- Keep up to date with current practices and innovations
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress or responses to treatments.
- Advise patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Refer patient to medical specialist or other healthcare practitioner when necessary.
BASIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Licensed Medical Doctor (MD) State of Texas – Active OR
Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) State of Texas - Active
Board-Certified OB / GYN by American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
Proven work experience as an OB-GYN or similar role
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Bilingual – Spanish preferred (oral & written)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
