Summary:
As Project Manager in the Human Resources Department, this position leads small to mid-sized projects. These projects are often collaborative, and they may work with various stakeholders across the organization including, but not limited to, Finance, Procurement, Information Technology, and Customer Service. This position spends significant time on formal project management responsibilities, overseeing scope, timeline, and project tasks.
As assigned, this position collaborates with stakeholders to lead or assist in the initiation, planning, execution, testing, implementation, and closing of projects while also building and maintaining strong relationships with internal/external clients. In some instances, this position will need to problem solve and communicate outcomes to our various business partners.

Responsibilities
- Guides business sponsors through the initiation process by working to define and advocate for projects which satisfy business needs and can be justified through cost-benefit analysis.
- Leads cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of projects; develop project plans, outline tasks, timelines, resources, and dependencies and may also participate in the design and/or testing phases.
- Leads inter/intra-departmental teams to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Serves as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
- Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, activities, and resource requirements; resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develops methods to monitor project progress; and provide corrective supervision when necessary.
- Monitors project progress against timelines, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions, and adjusts schedules and targets on the project as needed.
- Follows formal, defined, and agreed upon project management methodologies .
M inimum:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent .
- At least 5-7 years of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing one or more projects.
- Ability to make independent decisions within the framework defined by management with review and assistance as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- PMP Certification.
- Proficiency in MS Excel using pivot tables, formulas, importing data, charts, v-lookups, etc.
- Proficiency in other MS Office applications such as Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working contract management, cost center profit/loss, and client development .
- Ability to comprehend flow of logic and business rules within software applications.
