NTTA has several internship opportunities at their Corporate Headquarters in Plano, Texas. The internship program is designed to allow interns to gain valuable skills through hands-on experience of the day-to-day operations of a successful toll road entity.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team.
Pay: $18/hr.
The 12-week (Monday, May 20th, 2025, to Friday, August 8th, 2025) paid summer internship program at NTTA provides:

- Exposure to the transportation/toll road infrastructure
- Team and Individual Projects
- Practical and professional experience
- Networking opportunities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft-based systems and servers
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation
- Support the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and security updates
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and deploy new systems and applications
- Participate in the development and documentation of system configurations, policies, and procedures
- Assist in the management of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Microsoft technologies
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed
- Currently enrolled or completion of junior or senior year towards an undergraduate/graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 is required
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and technical skills with the ability to multi-task
- Fast learner and team player with a willing to learn attitude, that is adaptive and receptive to various duties and assignments
- Basic understanding of Microsoft operating systems and server environments
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Microsoft technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with system administration tools and software
- Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
