Job Title: Front/Back Office Medical Receptionist - Gastroenterology Private Practice
Location: Denton and Plano
Job Type: Full-Time, in person
Hours: Mon*-Thurs 8 AM to 4 PM (Denton office), Friday 8 AM to 4 PM (Plano office)
*Every other Monday is in Plano
Note: Hours are subject to change to 9 AM to 5 PM OR 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Required Qualifications:
- Graduated from high school
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Have 1-5 years of past experience working in the healthcare field OR attending university with a healthcare-related major
- Past medical insurance knowledge is preferred, but not required
- Ability to show up as promised and remain on our team for longterm
- Sustaining a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficient in use of electronic health records system

Job Summary:
As a front or back medical receptionist in Dr. Gang Quan’s practice, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care to patients in relation to gastrointestinal conditions. You will work closely with Dr. Quan and our team of staff members to holistically take care of patients throughout their healthcare journey with us. We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, and a team player.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
Documentation
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic medical records of patient assessments, treatments, phone logs, and follow-up care. Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards.
Patient consultations
- Assisting Dr. Quan in reviewing patient history thoroughly and ordering diagnostic tests or medications relevant to GI conditions
Diagnosis and treatment
- Collaborate with Dr. Quan to develop treatment plans for patients with various GI disorders
Schedule maintenance
- Ensure the schedule runs smoothly and on time as much as possible
Medication management
- Prescribe and manage medications, monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as necessary after consulting with Dr. Quan.
Collaboration
- Work closely with our team that includes Dr. Quan, in-office staff, procedure room staff, and remote staff.
Hourly Pay:
$13-16 per hour depending on experience, 40 hour weeks
