Wicker Memorial Park Golf Maintenance Person

Requirements: Golf course/landscaping experience preferred, golf course mechanic experience a plus, must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Wicker Memorial Park Golf Course Maintenance employee works under the supervision of the golf course superintendent; performs golf course maintenance and other landscape duties. Operates golf course maintenance/landscaping tools and equipment as needed to maintain the course properly.

Mowing and maintaining of greens, tees, fairways, rough, native areas and any other areas as directed by supervisor. Raking, trimming, maintaining of bunkers and hand watering of turf areas as directed. Application of some pesticides and fertilizers under the direction and supervision of the supervisor.

Ensures that basic preventative maintenance on equipment is maintained and performs other duties essential to the operation as directed.

Summary

As a Golf Course Maintenance professional, you will be integral to maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of the golf course. Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, your role encompasses landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and irrigation management. Your core skills in lawn care and horticulture will ensure the course remains in pristine condition, while your premium expertise in irrigation will enhance water efficiency. Utilizing hand and power tools, you will contribute to a well-groomed environment that enhances the overall experience for golfers and supports the organization’s commitment to excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
