Front Desk Automotive Clerk

*IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL HAVE TO LEARN AUTOMOTIVE KNOWLEDGE AND LEARN HOW TO EXPLAIN PROCESSES TO CUSTOMERS REGARDING SERVICE AND REPAIRS DONE ON THIER VEHICLES*

Advising customer of current repairs & progress of vehicles being worked on in shop.

Assist in dispatching out tow truck calls for customers/law enforcement accounts.

Heavy Phone lines.

Customer service, walk ins, apts.

Get approvals on open repair order from customers/vendors, through online portals/phone.

Closing end of day paperwork/work orders for service Techs.

Get parts pricing from Parts Department.

Open & Close work orders (Reynolds & Reynolds).

Submit online repair orders for warranty & customer authorization.

Lots of Data Entry

Other duties may be assigned or requested by management including special projects.

Visit customers on site if needed.

Collecting & Billing customer after repairs been completed.

Moving Box Trucks around lot for service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Ability to write service reports and effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.

Physical Demands

- Sit/type for long periods of time
- Stand/Walk for long periods of time in/out of office including walking up/down stairs with/without elevators and uneven surfaces
- Keep up with demands of fast-paced environment
- Driving to and from appointments

Work Environment
