Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead instructor in delivering high-quality instruction and facilitating a positive learning environment. Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8:30am- 12:30pm, hybrid (3 days remote, 1 in person)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of course curricula that align with educational standards.
- Provide instructional support during lectures, labs, and practical sessions.
- Facilitate small group discussions and hands-on activities to enhance student learning.
- Review documentation related to student progress and provide feedback to the lead instructor.
- Support students in understanding complex concepts in physiology and anatomy.
- Assist with patient care simulations, particularly in pediatrics and veterinary contexts.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment for all participants.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development initiatives.
Experience
Candidates should possess a background that demonstrates proficiency in relevant fields. Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in laboratory settings or public health environments.
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices.
- Knowledge of curriculum development processes.
- Strong understanding of documentation review practices related to educational settings.
- Background in pediatrics or related patient care experiences.
- A degree from a university or equivalent institution is preferred, with coursework in physiology and anatomy being advantageous.
