INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT- PITTSBORO ELEMENTARY
29.5 HOURS / WEEK)
PURPOSE : Delivers instruction to students in language arts, reading and math : through co-teaching, in targeted small group instruction, and one-on-one, as planned by a certified teacher.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Communicates with classroom teachers and school staff about student progress and learning in language arts, reading and math, with the support of a certified teacher.
2. Keeps a log of daily activities to reflect work with students and teachers, as well as other reports as required.
3. Performs lunch and recess duties as needed.
4. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his or her designee may assign. Revised : November 2015
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with children is desirable
