What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health Aide position at North Woods Home Care & Hospice?
Involves providing skilled care to clients in and around Dickinson County. You will provide personal care to clients who have elected the home health benefit. You will also provide compassionate end of life care for clients in our Hospice program. North Woods is family oriented and has provided excellent patient care in the central U.P. for over 40 years.
Must communicate well with client and their families, as well as be trustworthy. Must be flexible and dependable. Fingerprinting and background check will be conducted. Eligible for $0.50 raise after six-month probationary period.
Requirements:
- HHA's work every other weekend
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid CNA license
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to patients in their homes, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document patient health, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by performing light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring patients are comfortable and secure.
- Foster positive relationships with patients and their families, offering emotional support and companionship.
