Overview:
Nestled in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, Northampton Country Club is a family-friendly private Club offering its members a variety of services throughout the year. Being a family-friendly Club, a focus of our team is the inclusion of our younger members in day-to-day activities, especially in the summer months. The Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the NCC Pool from mid-May until early September. This role ensures the safety and enjoyment of members and their guests by managing pool staff, maintaining a clean and safe facility, and providing a warm welcome and excellent experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, supervise and manage lifeguards and other pool staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Enforce pool rules and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all members & guests.
- Oversee daily pool operations, including opening and closing procedures, chemical testing, and facility (including Locker Rooms & Snack Bar) checks.
- Coordinate with Director of Operations, Facilities Manager & Pool Valet Company to ensure proper operation of all pool equipment and facilities.
- Address member concerns with a positive attitude and provide exceptional member service.
- Collaborate with Operations Team to plan and execute special events or activities at the pool as requested by Management Team and Member Experience Committee.
- Collaborate with Swim Team Coach to offer organized Swim Lessons and Clinics throughout the season.
- Maintain accurate records of pool usage, incidents, rules infractions, and maintenance.
- Monitor inventory levels for pool towels, pool supplies and equipment. Reporting needs to Director of Operations for ordering purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED Certification Required
- Previous experience in pool management or a related role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays through Labor Day.
