At NorthBay Health, the Facilities Security Engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic monitoring, access control, and surveillance systems for NorthBay Health facilities and other designated locations. This role integrates expertise in information technology and physical security and safety control systems to ensure the functionality, compliance, and optimization of security & safety infrastructure.

Education:
- 2 Year Degree in Information Technology/Equivalent Work Experience and Journeyman Level Training in Physical Security Installation and Maintenance Preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience in security, military or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- 4 Years in an IT role providing direct customer support.
- 2 Years in a role with a Security Systems Integrator / Security Systems Vendor providing direct installation support of physical access control components and associated infrastructure.
- Experience in a Healthcare Environment with associated infection prevention and OSHPD construction requirements preferred.
- Experience working with ITIL framework of best practices and centralized Support Ticket systems preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid motor vehicle license and willingness to operate vehicles as required.
- Technical Certifications in Windows Server/Client Administration (Microsoft MCSA / CompTIA Server ) Preferred
- Technical Certifications in Networking and IT Security (CompTIA Net / CompTIA Sec / CompTIA CySA ) Preferred
- Industry Certifications ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Preferred
Skills:
- Knowledge of system administration, including backup/recovery, security administration, and capacity planning.
- Proficiency with access control systems and electronic components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting IT and telecommunications systems.
- Proficiency with the installation and termination of low voltage cabling related to access control, IT networking and video surveillance.
- Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools related to the installation and physical maintenance of assigned security systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information including HR Investigations / Staff Accountability Reports / Ongoing Security Investigations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/direction is a must.
- General knowledge of healthcare operations and information systems is advantageous.
- Strong sense of problem ownership and ability to prioritize multiple issues to provide the best Patient and Staff safety outcomes.
- Familiarity with project planning / execution methodologies (PMP / CompTIA Project ) and the ability to use project planning templates to identify and coordinate major project components, critical path and project communications.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing under high pressure.
Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality.
Physical Effort:
- Ability to climb ladders, use hand tools with a moderate to high level of force, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods and performing moderate to heavy physical exertion.

Compensation: $ 46.01 (based on years experience in role)
