Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound modalities
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective care delivery
- Provide direct patient care according to departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system
- Recognize dysrhythmias and echo pathologies
- Evaluate studies to ensure quality standards are met
- Prepare reports for physicians and maintain equipment
Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Experience in cardiology, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting
- AHA or equivalent BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office equipment
