What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, IT Systems and Security position at Northbay?
At NorthBay Health, the Manager of IT Systems and Security will lead efforts to ensure the stable, efficient and secure operations of NorthBay’s IT infrastructure systems and supported application servers/components. This includes but is not limited to on-prem compute, storage and backup components, appliances and cloud infrastructure assets. This role works closely with the Director, IT Infrastructure in the development and execution of IT systems and security strategy, standards, and processes. This leader is responsible for managing a multidiscipline team of system analysts and engineers, and exercises day-to-day oversight of the IT Infrastructure components and operations within their assigned scope.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Information Assurance, Cyber Security or a related field or equivalent eight years combination of education and experience.
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid motor vehicle license and willingness to operate vehicles as required.
- Technical Certifications in Windows Server/Client Administration (Microsoft MCSA/MCSE/Azure Hybrid Admin / CompTIA Server ) Preferred
- Technical Certifications in Networking and IT Security (CompTIA Net / Cisco CCNA / Fortinet FCP / CompTIA Sec / CompTIA CySA / CISSP / CEH / CISA) Preferred
- Industry Certifications in Project Management (PMI PMP/CompTIA Project ) Preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years IT leadership experience with a minimum 8 years of experience in an information technology role providing direct internal/external customer support.
- Experience working within the requirements of a 24/7 Highly Available environment.
- Experience working with ITIL framework of best practices preferred.
- Experience working within the framework of an ITIL change management system preferred.
- Experience as a Technology Owner/Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Data Center, Cyber Security, Network Infrastructure and Cloud Assets.
- Familiarity with the Cyber Security frameworks including HIPAA, NIST, SOC2, MITRE and ISO27001.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of systems and network administration standards including security administration, performance analysis & tuning, capacity planning, hardware and firmware maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven history of successive responsibility and team leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple complex problems under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Advanced level knowledge of computer operations, IT infrastructure and cyber security systems, and help desk/support methodologies.
- General knowledge of the healthcare business and information systems as they affect clinician’s workflow.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction/supervision.
- The position requires dedicated attention to detail as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information.
- Ability to diagram systems architecture for presentation to leadership and other IT staff to communicate future requirements and current IT systems’ operation.
- Ability to flow chart processes to identify bottlenecks and streamline procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing during rapidly evolving situations.

Hours of Work: Management exempt. / On-Call as needed for emergency escalation and organizational support based on business need.
Compensation: $188k to $200k based on years of experience in the role.
