What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Associate position at Northbound Executive Search?
Our client, a well-established Private Equity firm in New York, NY is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing accounting team! We are seeking individuals that can work in midtown Manhattan NYC on a remote-hybrid schedule.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities will include processing invoices, bank and cash reconciliations, and assisting with month end close.
- Manage the accounts payable process from beginning to end, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment preparation
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and statements
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
- Process and reconcile expense reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years' of professional Accounts Payable experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Concur
- Proficiency in Oracle highly preferred
