Our financial services client is seeking an Accounting Policy Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining best-in-class accounting policies. Responsibilities :
- Partner with leadership to navigate complex accounting issues, including business combinations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and compensation under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Review purchase price allocation models, legal agreements, and due diligence materials to assess financial implications.
- Provide technical accounting insights during deal structuring to optimize financial outcomes.
- Develop, refine, and implement accounting policies to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Work closely with controllers to drive the successful adoption of new accounting policies and standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors on accounting matters and regulatory compliance.
- Stay ahead of emerging accounting pronouncements and assess their potential impact.
- Contribute to SOX compliance by evaluating and enhancing internal processes.
