We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented part-time Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain a clean and comfortable living space for our residents.
Position Overview:
As a Housekeeper at Northbrook Health and Rehab, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Your role will contribute directly to the comfort and well-being of our residents and staff. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, hallways, restrooms, and other facility areas.
Ensure cleanliness of floors, windows, and furniture by dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
Distribute clean linens and towels to residents’ rooms.
Dispose of waste and recycling in a safe and sanitary manner.
Follow safety and infection control protocols at all times.
Respond to requests from residents and staff for cleaning services as needed.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Must be willing to undergo the Illinois Department of Public Health background check process
