Description
The Northbrook Park District is seeking friendly and outgoing Golf Shop Attendants to work in the golf shop at Heritage Oaks Golf Club and Anetsberger Golf Course. Candidates should have exceptional customer service skills, basic golf knowledge, computer proficiency for tee time check-in, reservations, and merchandise transaction sales.
Shift Information
This seasonal position is approximately 15-25 hours of work per week including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a customer focus on all personal interactions, which includes:

Checking in golfers; assisting guests with the selection and purchase of merchandise

Following cash cash handling procedures

Answer telephone calls
-
Making or modifying guest reservations
-
Helping customers with program registration
-
Assist with inventory and display of merchandise
-
Other job duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications
An interest in and some knowledge of golf is required. Must have basic working proficiency in the use of a computer. Golf-specific point-of-sale software experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) Previous customer service experience is preferred.

• Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, twist, talk and hear; use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms

• Specific vision abilities are required and include close vision and ability to adjust focus
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Salary : $16 - $17
