Northbrook Public Library seeks an Adult Services Librarian - Art & Music
Full-time: 35 hours/week
Schedule: Varies; 1 evening per week and 1 weekend per month or equivalent
About the Position
We are seeking a customer focused librarian to join our Adult Services team. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, reader's advisory, and reference assistance; demonstrating strong communication skills and diverse programming experience.
This librarian will contribute to the library's arts and music programming, including planning classical music concerts and coordinating art exhibits and receptions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with performing artists. Additional responsibilities include providing customer service at our busy Reference and Fiction & Media desks, collection development, and serving on library committees.

Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for candidates with the knowledge, skills, and development gained through a Master’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent experience. Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant library experience.
