Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team and contribute to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our employees and visitors. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, which includes offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Your role will be vital in ensuring that all aspects of the workplace are hygienic and well-kept, allowing our team to focus on their tasks in a pleasant atmosphere. Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
Must pass a background check and drug screening, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping roles.
- Familiarity with proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Experience operating floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, extractors).
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and cleaning best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
