What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Rep position at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center Health System?
Responsible for the daily functions of patient and insurance billing, processing of all incoming mail, patient/insurance follow up of outstanding accounts, and assisting patients, insurance companies and third parties with account inquiries.
- Process daily cash deposit.
- Posts payments and adjustments.
- Answers phone and provides information as requested.
- Processes daily cash report.
High school degree or GED required.
Prefer two years of healthcare insurance experience.
Ability to use routine office equipment, calculator, and personal computer.
Ability to work well under continuous stress.
Ability to express thought clearly and concisely.
Ability to listen; read and interpret information quickly, in both written, graphic and oral form.
