What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autoclave Operator position at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center?

Coordinates the medical waste collection and disposal.  Process all medical waste for the hospital.  Operates the autoclave, reduction shredders and waste compactors per the operating procedures and insures waste is removed from site by vendor in a timely manner.  Performs routine maintenance on medical waste equipment.  Maintains operating and equipment logs to document medical waste treatment.

HS diploma or GED is required. Possess an Alabama valid drivers' license with ability to be insure by company insurance carrier.
