What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency COVID 19 Paramedic position at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center?
This position performs various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the emergent and urgent needs and comfort of patients while assisting the RN in the Emergency Department area. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients of all ages within the scope of their training and expertise. The care given by the Emergency Covid Paramedic should be in accordance with the plan of care established by the provider and/or as directed by the Registered Nurse. This position is also responsible for carrying out any duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or Registered Nurse, to include performing designated clinical tasks, clerical duties, using computer desktop applications, assisting in maintaining patient flow; participating in the orientation and training of personnel and performing other duties as assigned.
Graduate of accredited EMT program required. Current Paramedic certificate required.
Previous field experience as Paramedic required.(One year minimum).
Current BLS from American Heart Association.
