What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist, Reg position at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center?
Provides skilled Occupational Therapy Services to patients in the Outpatient, Inpatient, LTAC settings.
Evaluates patient's status and needs, plans and establishes realistic short term and long term goals/outcomes.
Implements OT programs, progresses programs, and provides treatment as indicated.
Revaluates patient's physical and cognitive status regularly.
Communicates and documents patient care activities, assessment results and needs.
Provides education/guidance to patient/family/caregivers, significant other(s) and staff members as appropriate.
Collaborates treatment with hospital department/personnel and external agencies.
Maintains equipment and supply needs and organizes work area.
Supervises COTAs, provides clinical instruction to students, and supervises observers and volunteers.
Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Successful completion of all clinical field work.
Current Alabama O.T. license and annual continuing education.
Must have BLS/CPR by the American Heart Association.
