Job Summary: EMR Trainer & Application Specialist will support agency-wide training and onboarding initiatives for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and provide ongoing training and support for all existing and new users and assists users in applying EMR upgrades. They will support production and development platforms and system users and works with IS team to proactively research new features and functions and assists the Operations and Clinical teams with incorporating new methods into their standard operating procedures.

They will support production and development platforms and system users and works with IS team to proactively research new features and functions and assists the Operations and Clinical teams with incorporating new methods into their standard operating procedures.
Major Responsibilities
- Facilitates training and onboarding sessions with Electronic Medical Records users. Provides support to new hires and guides them through the onboarding process.
- Designs, writes, updates, and tests training curriculum including computer-based training modules, to a broad range of end users using operational knowledge and experience.
- Supports project go-lives and upgrades. Captures, documents details, and troubleshooting steps of an issue to identify resolution and/or escalate as needed. Utilizes ticketing system to track, route problems and requests, and document solutions.
- Visits assigned facilities and checks with clinical and support staff to address questions and/or issues with Netsmart and related applications, follows up with previously provided support assistance, and completes checklists in a timely manner after assigned initiatives.
- Works with project/support team to identify and resolve workflow or application issues.
- Provides on-site support during unscheduled downtime and serves as a liaison between the end-user and the IT team.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years experience working with an integrated EMR Application operations preferred.
- Experience in formal and informal training delivery preferred.
- Flexibility to provide on-call support to end users as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
