An amazing new opportunity has come up in our Residential Department! We are hiring a Per Diem Staff Director to join us full-time in Danvers, MA!
Title: Per Diem Residential Staff Director
Job Summary: Oversees and supervises a well-trained pool of per diem employees for Residential Services and provides support to the Residential Team, including the weekend team. Ensures compliance with the statutory requirements of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Ensures that Northeast Arc Residential Division reflects the mission statement and vision of the agency
Major Responsibilities:
- Hires, mentors, and evaluates per diem staff on a consistent and regular basis. Collaborates with HR
and talent acquisition to ensure a robust team of per diem staff.
- Assists per diem staff in finding consistent and regular schedules, as appropriate, maximizing skills
and abilities.
- Oversees scheduling and accurate payroll for all per diem employees.
- Organizes the Office Coverage schedule in a timely manner. Provides Office Coverage a minimum of
four (4) half days each week and provides back-up for Program Directors on schedule.
- Provides Per Diem Orientation to all new per diem staff, including scheduling and ensuring per diem
staff have completed new hire orientation prior to working any shifts where they are on ratio
(typically within two weeks of hire).
- Ensures all per diem orientation and training hours are properly documented in Kronos within the
appropriate pay weeks.
- Assists Program Directors in finding and training qualified per diem staff to cover open shifts,
including full time vacancies.
- Participates in Weekend Clinical On-Call Rotation and provides coverage for Program Directors as
needed.
Education and Experience: BS/BA strongly preferred. Minimum of three (3) years prior Residential Home experience supporting adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities or within human services.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills, including being able to assess a situation, develop alternative solutions and decide the appropriate course of action required. Proven record of working with and commitment to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Kronos. Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality. Ability to maintain certifications as required in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures, including but not exclusive to: First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, Human Rights and Fire Safety. Maintain a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Demands: Must be able to work at a desk/computer in an office environment and also be physically able to provide direct support to individuals in their homes. Work Environment: This position includes a combination of working in an office environment and working on-site in community settings and residential homes
