What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Abuse Counselor in Training (CIT) position at Northeast Arkansas Treatment Services, LLC?
America's opioid epidemic is not simply a major news story in the media. It is a real and continuing problem in Arkansas that impacts Arkansans and their families at every socioeconomic level. If you have ever wondered what you could do to help combat this terrible addiction, we have an opportunity for the right applicant. We specialize in the treatment of opioid addiction and are currently looking to add a new Counselsor in Training (CIT) to our counseling staff. The hours are Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and rotating Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. The successful applicant will have a desire to learn, be a "self-starter" who works well without direction, has a genuine desire to help others, be a good listener and be willing to treat our patients with kindness, respect and dignity. HIring preference given to applicants with previous addiction or behavioral health treatment experience. We are not simply looking to "fill positions" or "hire workers". We are looking to add a compassionate individual to our small team who wants an opportunity to help others and make a real difference in their lives. If you are looking for a job where you can punch the clock, take it easy and collect a paycheck at the end of the day, this job is not for you. Truly helping others in the throes of addiction is not easy work. And although this is an entry level counseling position, it affords endless opportunities for professional growth and development, the opportunity to work with a professional treatment team and the chance to be part of a solution to a local and national epidemic. If you meet these qualifications and have average or above computer and English skills, we would appreciate an opportunity to visit with you about our treatment philosophy and approach. We hope to hear from you soon. Registration as a Counselor in Training with the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board is required, but is not reimbursed by the company. Pre-employment drug screening, background check, and Arkansas Adult Maltreatment Registry inquiry is required. Northeast Arkansas Treatment Services, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
