POSITION SUMMARY: Northeast Bank’s Relationship Management Group is looking for a motivated and diligent Intern. The successful candidate will assist with various projects to support the Bank’s National Lending Originations platform, as well as support Relationship Managers with both new loan originations and asset management responsibilities.

POSITION SUMMARY: Northeast Bank’s Relationship Management Group is looking for a motivated and diligent Intern. The successful candidate will assist with various projects to support the Bank’s National Lending Originations platform, as well as support Relationship Managers with both new loan originations and asset management responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Relationship Managers in daily management of Originated Loan Portfolio
- Work closely with the Business Development and Real Estate teams to quickly assess potential loan opportunities
- Assist with various projects to build out Bank systems to better maintain Lender Finance Portfolio data
- Prepare written, in-depth analyses of Originated Loans
- Summarize loan request, including preliminary real estate valuation and borrower and/or collateral financial statements to present loan requests to the Chief Credit Officer to determine whether it is a fit for a Northeast Bank loan
- Work closely with our Real Estate, Credit and Legal Teams to understand the intricacies of each new loan opportunity and assist with underwriting and closing processes
- Education Level: A rising college junior or senior, preferably with an academic concentration(s) in Finance, Real Estate, or Entrepreneurship
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent inter-personal and communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Detail Oriented
- Proficient in keyboard and word documents, redlining
- Familiarity with Excel
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
- Climate controlled general office setting with moderate noise level.
- Must express or exchange ideas with co-workers, customers and vendors.
