POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for internal and external financial reporting, internal accounting, and financial reporting controls relating to the Bank’s loan portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the SBA 7(a) loan sale and reporting process, including preparation of sale summary, booking gain on sale, and recording monthly income and loan activity to the general ledger.
- Prepare the SBA servicing asset valuation on a quarterly basis to record impairment or recovery on servicing asset.
- Assist with monthly analysis, including review of purchased loan pools and purchased account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation of the Allowance for Credit Losses calculation on a quarterly basis.
- Review proposed loan modifications for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Prepare investor presentations and analytics for quarterly investor earnings calls.
- Assist in the compilation and filing of FDIC reports (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.) and other regulatory reporting.
- Prepare management reporting and perform ad hoc analyses.
- Support the monthly financial close process, including preparation of the Board and Loan and Investment Committee packages.
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and assist in SOX-404 compliance. Act as a resource and provide training to line areas on internal control activities.
- Support accounting department with audits and examinations required by the Bank, including compiling requests for the internal and external auditors.
- Support various tasks in the department as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Detailed knowledge of banking core operating systems
- Detailed knowledge of bank operations
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of SEC and Regulatory reporting requirements
- Detailed knowledge of accounting principles
- Four-year college degree, preferably in Accounting
- CPA designation preferred
- Four-year working experience in banking or related financial reporting experience with a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Some travel is required.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as copy machine and printers.
- Climate-controlled general office setting with moderate noise level.
- Must express or exchange ideas and meaning with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and vendors.

Salary : $80,500 - $101,200
