Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. seeks a full-time, 40 hours per week, Psychiatric Nurse. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of nursing duties designed to facilitate the overall care of youth seen at NCYF while maintaining their optimal physical and emotional wellness. Duties include completing routine health assessments, providing individual health education, and facilitating prescription refills. Also, this RN will oversee and ensure compliance with MAP procedures and regulations; provide MAP training to Residential Services staff; ensure and oversee the proper ordering and checking in meds in all residential programs.

Qualifications include the following:

• Registered Nurse Licensure required in Massachusetts; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of residential or psychiatric experience.
• Successful completion and maintain certification as a MAP RN and MAP Nurse Monitor.
• Knowledge about trauma informed care and general developmental stages of children and teens.
• Familiar with federal, state, regulatory and best practice recommendations with respect to de-escalation and restraint alternatives as well as humane restraint techniques.
