Job Overview
Northeast Charter & Tour (NECT) seeks a Vice President of Sales and Business Development to lead the sales department, develop and cultivate new clients, and grow key accounts. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and possess a keen insight into profit management, and demand-based pricing. The person will collaboratively develop and manage the sales team, create new business relationships, and manage established key accounts. This person will lead the delivery of the company’s overall sales plan. If you are a motivated sales professional with sales management & business development experience, we are looking for you! This can be a remote position with travel.
Responsible for the company's sales revenue plans and objectives:
- Responsible for managing and developing the sales team and fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.
- Utilize inter-departmental relationships for the effective delivery of service.
- Monitor pricing based on sales analysis and weekly sales report tracking progress to the sales plan.
- Conduct effective sales budget and strategic planning activities with the leadership team.
- Monitor and develop weekly and monthly KPI sets for the leadership team's review.
Responsible for new business development:
- Develop & execute a revenue growth-oriented key account plan.
- Identify new market opportunities and establish relationships with potential clients through outside sales efforts.
- Provide oversight to the positioning & marketing of NECT and its services.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness.
Responsible for maintaining and further developing NECT key accounts.
- Develop and execute a strategic key account plan, maximizing the growth of existing key accounts.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with key-account personnel within the client organization.
- Analyze key account performance and identify opportunities to sell additional services and solutions.
- Maintain and strengthen client and community relations.
Requirements
- Proven experience of at least five years in business development, particularly within the passenger transportation industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-value deals.
- Proficient in analyzing market data and trends to drive strategic initiatives.
- Experience in account management with a focus on building lasting client relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on presentation abilities.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
