Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
_ - Payroll Processing:_
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify employee time sheets, attendance records, and other data essential for payroll computation.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update payroll records in the payroll management system.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal payroll regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Prepare and file payroll-related tax documents and reports as required.
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
_ - Employee Support:_
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and related matters.
- Collaborate with HR for onboarding new employees and updating payroll information for terminations, promotions, or changes in status.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing or administration.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Sound knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
