What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Specialist position at Northeast Community Center for Behavioral Health?
Northeast Community Center for Behavioral Health is seeking a creative, compassionate, team-oriented, self-starter working with a population of 18-45 year old, to work as a full-time Recovery Specialist with adults in the Center’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. Candidate must be willing to engage individuals and families in both an office setting and in the community.
Position Summary:
The Recovery Clinician will be responsible for coordinating the site based and community based psychosocial rehabilitation services for consumers on flexible schedule, which includes evenings or weekend based activities. The Recovery Specialist/ Psychological Services Associate will work as a member of the recovery team and provide quality recovery based services.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time
Ability to stand/sit for extended periods.
Occasional stairs, bending, reaching.
Visual acuity.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and two years’ work experience in mental health direct services, with one year being in psychiatric rehabilitation preferred.
