Job Description:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, and promoting our extensive range of products to businesses in need of industrial supplies. You will work independently in the field, identifying potential clients, cultivating relationships, and closing sales. This is a great opportunity for an energetic sales professional who enjoys the challenge of building and nurturing long-term customer relationships. The coverage area is within 25 miles of Providence, RI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities within assigned geographic areas.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Provide product knowledge and solutions to customers, ensuring their needs are met.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and product demos when necessary.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts, ensuring competitive offers for customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (customer service, fulfillment, purchasing, receiving, etc.) to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities using CRM software.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of proven outside sales experience, preferably in the industrial or hardware sector.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and listening skills.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with CRM software and GSuite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within your assigned territory.
- Knowledge of fasteners, tools, and industrial supplies is a plus.
- Existing network within target market is also a plus.
