Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of fire alarm system installation and upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, in-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, and a proven track record of managing complex projects within budget and on schedule. You will be responsible for coordinating resources, collaborating with clients, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage fire alarm system installation and upgrade projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure that projects are completed within allocated financial resources.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Provide regular updates on project status and any potential risks or issues.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all tasks are completed on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards.
  • Schedule Management: Create, manage, and update project schedules. Ensure that all milestones are met, and project timelines are adhered to.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all fire alarm systems are installed in compliance with local, state, and national regulations, as well as industry standards, including NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks or issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Address any on-site challenges that may arise during project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and quality assurance records.
  • Quality Control: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that installations meet quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and leadership to junior project managers, technicians, and other project team members. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in fire alarm systems installation or 5 years of project management, with a demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, design, and installation methods. Familiarity with software tools such as project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other life safety systems, such as sprinklers or security systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret fire alarm system designs, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of relevant local and national fire codes and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
