The Respiratory Manager will supervise, coordinate, and support respiratory therapy staff, ensuring high-quality care for pediatric patients and other units as needed. They will collaborate with the Administrative Director to ensure department goals align with hospital policies and standards, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining proper records of respiratory therapy services. Additionally, the manager will oversee the training, development, and performance evaluations of department staff. They will monitor the quality of care provided by respiratory therapists, addressing any issues promptly to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The manager will also maintain equipment and materials necessary for respiratory therapy services, ensuring functionality and availability. If needed, they will step in to provide direct patient care and support in other respiratory therapy services.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree from an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy Program; Master's Degree preferred.
- NYS Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist, BCLS Certification (required), ACLS Certification (required), PALS Certification (preferred).
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a critical care therapist, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity (preferred).
- Member of the AARC preferred.
