We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Neptune, NJ. This position offers the chance to work in a dedicated pediatric emergency department within a high-acuity facility. This role features a flexible shift schedule with 10-hour physician shifts and 8-hour Advanced Practice Provider (APP) shifts. Shift options include 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, 1 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM, and 9 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM, with 8 hours of daily APP coverage to support patient care. Weekend coverage is required, but there are no on-call responsibilities.The pediatric emergency department handles approximately 22,000 annual visits and is fully independent, featuring 8 pediatric beds, including private rooms. This facility is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with access to a 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 40-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).Life Certification Requirements : EM / PEDS Require moderate Sedation course if not EM BoardedIF BC must have ATLS, ACLS, BLS and PALSResidency Requirements : Pediatric or regular EM with Peds experienceMust be Board Certified or Board Eligible to apply.Must submit 24 months of case logs.Specialty Back Up : Scribes, 24 / 7 anesthesia, trauma, neurosurgery and PICU in house.Active DEA license.Active New Jersey state medical license.Neptune, located along the beautiful Jersey Shore, offers a welcoming community and a great quality of life.
