Key Responsibilities
- Conducts initial assessments and aids in treatment plan development.
- Conducts independent short-term psychotherapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities.
- Leads treatment groups, support groups and other educational groups.
- Refers cases to appropriate professionals, institutions or agencies.
- Utilizes crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mediation to address patient/family concerns.
- Teaches, supervises, and/or advises undergraduate, graduate, or post graduate practicum students, and/or other therapists.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work or related field.
- Licensure as an LICSW or LCMHC. Dual licensure or commitment to obtain dual licensure is highly preferred.
- At least five years of experience as a therapist.
- Experience providing evidenced-based, client-centered counseling (group or independent).
- Work experience in community mental health or other outpatient healthcare setting is preferred.
- Competitive Salary $75,000 - $85,000
