What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Based Clinician, Brighton Elementary School position at Northeast Kingdom Human Services?
8 hour position in Brighton Elementary School, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Potential for 24 hours if combined with another school position.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is within one year of graduating with a Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Mental Health to complete an internship under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, be highly organized, and have excellent time management skills.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a mental health related field. Will consider candidates within last year of obtaining clinical Master's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of human services experience preferred.
- Experience working in schools with children who have emotional/behavioral barriers to fully accessing their education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient treatment, individual, family, or group counseling to identified students.
- Participate in the development of overall client treatment plans.
