Unit Information : Pharmacy 712
General Information : Tell us about the unit(s) : Number of Beds - 245 (licensed), Number of Staff – 38, Type of staff : Day Shift – 1 central pharmacist, 4 decentralized pharmacists, 1 ED pharmacist, 7 pharmacy technicians, 1 pharmacy buyer, 2 technician specialists, Night Shift – 1 central pharmacist, 1 pharmacy technician, Patient Ratios – varies per daily patient census, Type of equipment - none, EMR – Meditech
Typical hiring profile : Must have : Prior hospital experience (prefer at least 2yrs), Proof of completion of 20hr ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course, Preferred or nice to have : Meditech experience, Decentralized pharmacy experience – vancomycin dosing adjustments, renal dosing adjustments
List typical procedures performed on unit(s) : Medication Order Verification / Entry, Supervise technical support personnel in drug preparation and distribution systems, Perform final dispensing check of all medication orders and complete required documentation, Review / Monitoring of Override Reports (and other reports)
