Position Information

Nature of Work
Incumbents are responsible for supporting and collaborating with classroom staff to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests in a variety of settings; developing individual educational plans designed to promote students' educational, physical, or social development; establishing and enforcing rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students; administering tests to help determine students' developmental levels, needs, or potential; and conferring with parents, guardians, teachers, counselors, or administrators to resolve students' behavioral or academic problems.
Functional Specific Responsibilities
- Provides leadership; coaches, collaborates, and supports staff at Quora.
- Partners with staff on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) strategies and interventions.
- Creates and facilitates Professional Development for Tiered Academic interventions.
- Coaches licensed staff on best practices and strategies to use in the development of student-centered goals to increase student success .
- Researches, creates, executes, and reviews instructional practices.
- Collaborates with teachers to select and implements the most appropriate evidence-based instructional strategies and standards-based curriculum content.
- Guides teachers in facilitating highly effective PLCs.
- Supports teachers in engaging students by helping to select and implement the most appropriate instructional strategies and resources.
- Facilitates data discussions that focus on transferring new knowledge into classroom practice.
- Coaches teachers as they design and implement technology-supported differentiated instruction.
- Empowers, shares, and fosters an equity culture.
- Plans with teachers, observes teaching & learning, and provides reflective feedback (not teacher evaluation).
Typical Class Responsibilities
Training and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of teaching experience.
Licensing Requirements
Licensure from the MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board in one of the following areas : Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, or Emotional Behavior Disorders.
