What are the responsibilities and job description for the Services Coordinator - Aging position at NORTHEAST MICHIGAN COMMUNITY SERVICE AGENCY INC.?
- Assist in all phases of subcontractor implementation and monitoring;
- Provide support, technical assistance and monitoring to subcontractors;
- Perform on-site programmatic assessments of subcontractor services;
- Develop and distribute Nutrition Newsletter to nutrition providers in accordance with pre-defined regularity;
- Assist contracted nutrition providers to ensure robust meal programs. Duties include menu review and approval to meet nutritional standards and working with them to develop enhancements for growth and vitality;
- Coordinate service delivery systems with other human service agencies and programs;
- Assist Director and staff in implementing new service programs;
- Assist Director and staff with fiscal, programmatic and contractual activities and documents;
- Provide information and assistance to the public;
- Provide technical assistance to interested parties in community development initiatives;
- Serve as liaison between the Area Agency on Aging and communities;
- Serve as an active member of agency committees as assigned;
- Provide training for appropriate subcontractor staff;
- Maintain leader status for various evidence-based programs and assist in the coordination and execution of classes;
- Coordinate and maintain documentation of Emergency Management Plans for the AAA service area and attend emergency coordinator meetings as necessary;
- Coordinate MI Café activities throughout the region and provide application assistance when needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in human services or related field and 2 years experience in human services is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Employees in this position must possess reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver license and maintain appropriate certifications/licensure. Registered Dietician or Dietetic Tech. status required for nutrition program oversight activities.
