Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Perform basic math calculations for sales and returns, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills; familiarity with retail math is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Experience with cash handling and understanding of POS systems is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
