We have an opening for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER at our Head Start Center in Wayne.
LOCATION: WAYNE, NE
JOB TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday β Friday, with seasonal layoff.
ABOUT US: Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership (NENCAP), INC is a private, nonprofit corporation. NENCAP serves an income-eligible population in a 14-county area of Northeast Nebraska with programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, WIC/Immunizations, Healthy Families, Weatherization, and Family Services, free tax preparation, car seat programs, Veteran Services, Commodity Supplemental Food Program, and food pantries.
JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Aide assists in carrying out the meal service for the children and staff at the work location. Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals at scheduled times in accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The Food Service Aide assists in the completion and posting of required nutrition reports, including attendance, CACFP daily meal counts, temperature logs, and menu planning and production sheets. Store and label food following the Food and Safety Sanitation requirements. Submit proper paperwork to the Central Office in a timely manner. Abide by the Kitchen Inspection Report and state inspection reports. Perform kitchen and dining area cleaning duties including trash, sweeping/mopping, loading, and unloading dishwasher, clean sinks and restrooms if requested. Maintain confidentiality of program participants and follow Program and Agency standards and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED required. Education and experience in food service a plus.
