Founded in 2008, NorthEast of the Well (NE) is committed to bringing hope, healing, and transformation to individuals facing addiction, abuse, incarceration, trauma, and sexual exploitation. NE meets people where they are, offering the Gospel message and tools to help them discover their God-given purpose and build paths to independence. The organization partners with treatment programs, shelters, safe houses, jails, and other providers across Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Orange County.
Position Overview :
The Operations Director ensures NE’s operational excellence, supporting weekly ministry activities and strategic growth. Reporting to the Executive Director / Founder, this role oversees human resources, finance, IT, facilities, and program management while promoting NE’s mission to volunteers, donors, and the community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operational Leadership : Develop and optimize systems, policies, and KPIs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Financial Management : Manage budgets, oversee payroll and expense processes, and provide insights for fundraising efforts.
- Human Resources : Lead talent acquisition, staff development, and compliance with employment laws, fostering a Christ-centered, inclusive culture.
- Facilities & Technology : Oversee IT systems, cybersecurity, and facility maintenance to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Strategic Planning : Collaborate on long-term strategies and execute key growth initiatives.
- Risk Management : Identify and address risks while ensuring compliance with legal and donor requirements.
- Event Support : Plan and coordinate staff retreats, discipleship gatherings, and outreach events.
- Donor Database : Supervise donor database operations, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
- Communications : Manage internal and external communications to enhance engagement and transparency.
