Summary
The assistant director provides an advanced level of day-to-day operational resource management for the College of Pharmacy’s Dean’s Office and the Offices of Education and Assessment. Responsibilities include financial management, academic process management, project management, and administrative support. The assistant director may represent the College on various collegiate and University committees.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Academic Process Management: Assist with building and documenting the infrastructure to support the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum and the Office of Education. Create and maintain curriculum-focused documents including textbooks requirements, elective catalogs, the course director manual, curriculum OneDrive storage, schedule of classes by term, and the NEOMED Compass. Support the curriculum committee chair with document storage, committee communications, and workflow organization.
Financial Management: Maintain and monitor Office of Education and curriculum budget, co-funded faculty contracts, and payments from partner sites. Assist in the development of Office of Education financial management systems/processes. Reconcile P-cards, process honorarium payments, assist with variance reporting and develop financial reports as needed.
Administrative Support: Provide high level administrative support for the Dean’s Office and the Office of Education. Manage complex calendars, facilitate travel arrangements, and maintain office records including standard operating procedures. Organize meetings and events, including coordinating with stakeholders, preparing agendas and taking minutes. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Serve as a point of contact between the Dean/Vice Dean and faculty, staff, students and external partners.
Project Management: Support projects for the Dean and Vice Dean of Pharmacy, Director of Faculty Development, Director of Interprofessional Education and Director of Curriculum. Track deadlines and deliverables, provide status reports and ensure timely completion. Communicate with institutional and external offices when seeking information and/or documentation related to assigned projects.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience in administration and project management.
- Proficient with technology and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
